For clinical questions about your own treatment, contact your prescriber directly through your account rather than by general enquiry, so your query reaches someone who can see your record.
If you are already in treatment
Contact your prescriber through your account rather than by general enquiry. A general mailbox cannot see your record, which means it cannot answer a clinical question and will have to route you anyway.
For a side effect that is severe, persistent, or frightening, do not wait for a reply. Severe abdominal pain that may radiate to the back, swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing, or an inability to keep fluids down all need urgent medical attention rather than a message.
If you are deciding whether to start
The assessment is the fastest route to a real answer, because eligibility depends on your medical history rather than on general information. It is free, takes about five minutes, and does not commit you to anything.
If you want to understand the treatments before starting one, the treatment pages and guides cover mechanism, dosing, side effects and eligibility in full, with sources named.
Reporting a side effect
Suspected side effects from any medicine can be reported directly to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme, independently of the provider who supplied it. Reporting is how safety signals are detected across the whole population rather than one clinic.
Tell your prescriber as well, so your own treatment can be adjusted.
Complaints
Complaints are handled under our published complaints procedure, which sets out what we do, how long each stage takes, and how to escalate if you are not satisfied with the outcome.
Escalation does not depend on our agreement. The General Pharmaceutical Council accepts concerns about a registered pharmacy directly.
